My Grandmother was a strong woman and she took every opportunity she could to empower me through spoken words. This particular day was no exception. “One day you are going to make a very good nurse.” Those words were the sweet reward she gave me for nursing a wound on her leg until it was healed. Words that has led me to a 29 year career in nursing, thus far.
