Let’s not be anxious, not even in August!

Let’s not be anxious, not even in August!

Anxious moment here! Are you as shocked as me?! It’s August already! Exactly where has the time gone. June and July has quickly slipped into the past as the year moves full steam ahead. Looking back, the crazy high temperatures in July created heat wave warnings across many regions of our country. I saw numerous lawns, including our own, go through several different shades of brown. I’ve seen melted ice-cream dripping through tiny fingers before eager mouths could enjoy the tasty treat. And listen, my husband and I just received the water bill that shows the high price of performing

The roaring lion – attack from an invisible foe

The roaring lion – attack from an invisible foe

Every single day that we live and breathe we are fighting against an invisible foe. An invisible foe whose first line of attack is usually launched at our mind with his lies and his deceit. Uniquely created and called as his help meet

I was having a casual conversation with a dear friend recently.  We chatted for a while about the little every day occurrences of life before our conversation settled on marriage.  She  mentioned how lonely and exhausting the journey can be.   I pondered her words for several days after our conversation. There are many women who would attest to this truth.   We feel tired, frustrated, even hopeless at times because our marriages are not where we would like them to be.   Some would say they feel alone.   While others would say they feel powerless to affect the change necessary
